While we absolutely believe in the power of holistic practices—like therapy, exercise, and self-care—there are times when we need a little more support. And that’s okay.

Medication, like SSRIs or antidepressants, often get a bad rap, but it’s really just another tool in our wellness toolkit. Being a real woman means taking care of yourself, even if that means asking for help when you need it. Whether it’s for managing depression, anxiety, or more specific struggles like PMDD, medication can make a world of difference in restoring balance and emotional stability.

For many of us, hormonal and neurological imbalances aren’t just about physical changes—we feel them emotionally and mentally, too. Fluctuations in hormones due to our menstrual cycle, pregnancy, or perimenopause can bring on mood swings, anxiety, and even depression. It’s all part of taking care of yourself, and there’s no shame in using the tools available to keep you balanced and thriving. Think of it as one piece of your wellness journey—right alongside therapy, lifestyle changes, and all the other ways you’re prioritizing your well-being.
